MoSciFIT ("MoSciFIT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to you when you use the MoSciFIT website, mobile applications, software, and services (collectively, the "Service").
Because MoSciFIT may collect information relating to fitness, nutrition, physical activity, medications, supplements, menstrual cycles, injuries, physical limitations, photographs, videos, and other health related information, we encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully.
By using MoSciFIT, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of MoSciFIT, and certain information collected automatically. The information we collect depends on the features you use and the choices you make.
We may collect: name; username; email address; password credentials; date of birth; account preferences; subscription status; and information necessary to authenticate and secure your account. Passwords are intended to be stored using appropriate password hashing and security mechanisms rather than in readable form.
If you choose to provide it, we may collect information such as: fitness goals; training experience; training preferences; exercise history; physical activity level; equipment availability; height; weight; step counts; workout preferences; job or activity characteristics; fitness progress; exercise performance; workout frequency; and other information you provide to personalize the Service.
Depending on the features you use, you may choose to provide information that may be considered sensitive or health related information. This may include: injuries; physical limitations; medications; supplements; prior surgeries; family health history; menstrual cycle information; pregnancy related information; blood work or laboratory values; allergies or food sensitivities; dietary information; symptoms; and other health or wellness information that you voluntarily provide. You are not required to provide optional health related information merely to maintain a basic MoSciFIT account, although some features may not function without it. We use health related information primarily to provide the features you request, including personalized fitness, nutrition, wellness, and educational content.
When you use MoSciFIT, we may collect: exercises performed; sets; repetitions; weight used; duration; rest periods; RPE or similar ratings; workout history; progress information; nutrition or food logs; goals; activity records; and other information you choose to record.
If you choose to upload photographs or videos, including videos submitted for exercise form analysis, we may collect and process those files. We may process them using automated technologies, including computer vision, pose estimation, artificial intelligence, and other analysis technologies, to provide requested features. You control whether you upload content. You should not upload another person's photograph or video unless you have the necessary permission or legal right to do so.
MoSciFIT uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to provide certain features. Depending on the Service, AI systems may process information you provide to generate: workout recommendations; exercise suggestions; nutrition information; meal suggestions; wellness information; exercise form feedback; summaries; explanations; progress insights; or other personalized content. AI processing may involve third party AI service providers acting on our behalf. AI generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your circumstances. MoSciFIT does not use AI generated content as a substitute for professional medical care.
When you access MoSciFIT, we may automatically collect information such as: IP address; device type; operating system; browser or application version; device identifiers; language and regional settings; timestamps; pages or screens viewed; features used; general interaction information; crash reports; diagnostic information; and other technical information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. Where required by law, we will provide additional disclosures concerning cookies, analytics technologies, advertising technologies, or similar tracking technologies.
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another third party payment processor. MoSciFIT does not intend to store complete payment card numbers on its own systems. Payment processors may collect and process payment information, transaction information, billing information, fraud prevention information, and other information necessary to process payments and protect the payment system. Stripe's own privacy practices may apply to information it processes. Stripe may act in different capacities depending on the processing involved.
Depending on the features we implement, MoSciFIT may receive information from third party services that you connect to MoSciFIT or that are necessary to provide a requested feature. We will disclose applicable third party integrations through the Service and/or this Privacy Policy when required.
We may use information we collect to: create and maintain your account; authenticate users; provide requested features; personalize workouts and recommendations; generate nutrition and wellness information; provide AI generated content; analyze exercise form; track workouts and progress; provide Community features; process subscriptions and payments; communicate with you about your account; respond to support requests; send transactional communications; obtain and manage parental consent where applicable; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; maintain security; troubleshoot technical problems; monitor performance; improve the Service; develop new features; comply with legal obligations; enforce our Terms; protect our rights, users, and property; and perform other purposes disclosed to you at or before the time information is collected. We will not use sensitive health information for a materially different purpose without appropriate notice and, where required, consent.
MoSciFIT uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to provide certain features, including personalized workout plans, nutrition plans, wellness information, exercise form feedback, and other personalized content. When you request an AI powered feature, MoSciFIT sends information reasonably necessary to generate the requested output to the applicable AI service provider.
MoSciFIT is designed to minimize the direct identifying information included in AI requests. For the AI powered features currently used to generate workout plans, nutrition plans, and health guidance, MoSciFIT does not intentionally send your name, username, email address, or MoSciFIT account/user ID to Anthropic as part of the AI prompt. Instead, AI requests may contain information from your fitness and health profile that is relevant to the requested feature, including, depending on the feature and your settings: age; sex at birth; fitness goals; training experience; activity level; exercise and training preferences; equipment availability; height and weight; BMI; injury or physical limitation information; medications; supplements; prior surgeries; family health history; allergies; pregnancy related information; nutrition and dietary information; menstrual cycle information or derived cycle phase information; workout and activity history; step/activity information; and blood work or laboratory values when you have enabled the applicable blood work feature. Some information is derived before being sent to the AI provider. For example, MoSciFIT may calculate your age from your date of birth rather than sending your date of birth itself. The exact information included in an AI request depends on the feature you use, the information you have provided, and the optional health information categories you have enabled.
Certain health related categories are optional, and MoSciFIT lets you separately control (a) whether a category of information is stored at all, and (b) whether that category may be used in AI generated content, through the Privacy & Health Data Center in Account Settings. If a category is not enabled for AI use, MoSciFIT is designed not to include that category's information in the corresponding AI request. Some features may be less personalized or unavailable if you choose not to provide or enable optional health information.
When you use Form Coach, MoSciFIT extracts a limited number of still images from your uploaded video and sends those images, together with a written summary of deterministic, locally computed movement measurements, to Anthropic to generate visual form feedback. The raw video file and raw pose tracking coordinates generated in your browser are not sent to Anthropic. Because extracted images are derived from your video, they may show your face, body, clothing, or surroundings — record against a simple background and avoid other people or identifying information being visible in frame.
If you enable cycle tracking, you separately control whether that information may be used in AI generated content through the Privacy & Health Data Center. Cycle information or a derived cycle phase estimate is included in an AI request only if you have both enabled cycle tracking and separately enabled AI use of that information.
MoSciFIT may allow you to enter information in free text fields. You should not intentionally enter your name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, government identification numbers, financial information, or other unnecessary identifying information into free text health or fitness fields. Because free text entries may be transmitted as part of a requested AI feature, MoSciFIT cannot guarantee that users will not voluntarily include identifying information in such fields.
MoSciFIT may use Anthropic's commercial/API services to process information and generate AI assisted outputs. Anthropic states that data submitted to its commercial/API products is not used to train its models unless the customer expressly permits such use or another applicable contractual arrangement provides otherwise. MoSciFIT does not authorize Anthropic to use identifiable MoSciFIT user information for model training unless such use is expressly authorized under an applicable written agreement. The retention and handling of information submitted to Anthropic may depend on the particular Anthropic service, model, API feature, account configuration, and contractual arrangement used by MoSciFIT. Accordingly, MoSciFIT does not represent a universal fixed retention period for information processed by Anthropic. MoSciFIT will configure and use its Anthropic integration according to the applicable commercial terms, privacy requirements, and data processing arrangements governing the service. Where available and appropriate, MoSciFIT may pursue contractual arrangements providing enhanced retention protections, including Zero Data Retention arrangements. For current information regarding Anthropic's handling of commercial/API data, users should consult Anthropic's applicable privacy and commercial documentation.
MoSciFIT's AI integrations are designed around data minimization. We seek to send only information reasonably necessary for the particular AI powered feature being requested. MoSciFIT does not intentionally send direct account identifying fields such as your name, username, email address, or raw MoSciFIT user ID to Anthropic as part of the AI prompts described above. This does not mean that information sent to Anthropic is anonymous. Health, fitness, demographic, or other information included in an AI request may, depending on the circumstances and combination of information, be capable of identifying or distinguishing an individual.
If MoSciFIT materially changes the categories of personal information sent to an AI provider, the purposes for which AI providers process that information, or the identity of providers in a manner requiring additional notice or consent under applicable law, MoSciFIT will provide appropriate notice and obtain any legally required consent.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information to categories of recipients necessary to operate MoSciFIT, including:
Infrastructure and database providers — for example, Supabase, which may provide database, authentication, storage, and related infrastructure. Application hosting providers — for example, Vercel, which may provide application hosting and related infrastructure. AI service providers — for example, Anthropic, which may process information submitted to AI powered features to generate requested outputs. Payment providers — for example, Stripe, which may process payment and transaction information. Email providers — for example, Resend, which may process email addresses and message information necessary to deliver transactional communications. Nutrition databases — for example, USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, which may provide food and nutrition information used by MoSciFIT. Where a food search feature sends a search query to an external database, the query may be transmitted to that provider. MoSciFIT will not intentionally send unrelated health profile information to a nutrition database merely because you search for a food.
If you use a feature that allows you to share content with other MoSciFIT users, information you intentionally submit through that feature may become visible to the audience specified by the feature. For example, information or content you intentionally post to a Community feature may be visible to other users. Do not post health information, photographs, videos, or other sensitive information that you do not want other users to see. Community content may remain visible to other users even after you delete your account, to the extent that other users have independently copied, saved, or otherwise retained it.
We may use contractors, vendors, consultants, hosting companies, analytics providers, security providers, customer support providers, and other service providers to operate our business. These providers may process personal information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services to us. We seek to impose appropriate contractual and security requirements on service providers where appropriate.
If MoSciFIT is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law. We will take reasonable steps to protect information involved in such transactions.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to: comply with law; respond to valid legal process; comply with governmental requests; enforce our Terms; investigate fraud or abuse; protect the security of the Service; protect users or others from harm; investigate suspected violations; protect our legal rights; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, satisfy legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud, maintain security, and protect our legitimate business interests. Different categories of information may have different retention periods. When you delete information or your account, deletion may not occur immediately from every backup, disaster recovery system, security log, or legally required record. Information may remain for a limited period where necessary for: backup recovery; fraud prevention; security; legal compliance; dispute resolution; accounting; or other legitimate purposes. Where practical, deleted information will be removed from active systems according to our applicable retention and deletion procedures.
MoSciFIT may limit the number of saved form check videos associated with an account. If a feature limits saved videos to five videos, that limitation will be disclosed in the applicable feature. Deleting a saved video through the Service may remove it from active user accessible storage, subject to applicable backup, security, legal, and retention requirements. We do not guarantee that deleted information can be recovered.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Depending on the system and information involved, safeguards may include: encryption in transit; encryption or protected storage; authentication controls; access controls; password hashing; logging and monitoring; vendor security controls; and other reasonable security measures. However, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You acknowledge that no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
MoSciFIT is not a healthcare provider and generally is not operating as a HIPAA covered entity merely because it provides fitness or wellness services. HIPAA therefore may not apply to MoSciFIT in the same way it applies to a physician, hospital, or other HIPAA covered entity. However, health related information may be protected by other federal or state privacy laws. For example, the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule can apply to health apps and similar technologies that are not covered by HIPAA. MoSciFIT will comply with applicable privacy and breach notification requirements.
Where applicable law requires MoSciFIT to notify users, regulators, or other parties of a security incident or breach involving personal or health information, we will provide notices as required by applicable law. The FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule may require covered health app companies to notify affected consumers and, in certain circumstances, the FTC and media following a breach of unsecured personal health information.
MoSciFIT requires all users to be at least 13 years old. Account creation includes an age gate that blocks anyone who indicates they are under 13 from creating an account; MoSciFIT does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users aged 13 to 17 may create an account, but require verified parent or guardian consent before they can complete their fitness profile or use any training, nutrition, cycle, or health guidance feature. If MoSciFIT nonetheless has actual knowledge that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, additional requirements may apply under COPPA, which can include parental notice, verifiable parental consent, parental access and deletion rights, and restrictions on disclosures. Additional age specific protections and state law requirements may also apply to users under 18. Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include, where applicable: the right to know what information we collect; the right to access information; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to delete information; the right to obtain a copy of certain information; the right to opt out of certain forms of sale or sharing; the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising; the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; the right to withdraw certain consents; the right to appeal a privacy rights decision; and other rights provided by applicable law. These rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to legal exceptions.
You may use privacy controls available within MoSciFIT where provided. You may also submit a privacy request by contacting: moscifit.inquiry@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will process verified requests according to applicable law. If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a decision concerning your privacy request, we will provide information about the appeal process in our response.
If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may provide additional rights concerning your personal information. Depending on the circumstances and whether applicable thresholds are met, these rights may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information concerning the collection and use of personal information, as well as rights concerning certain sharing or sale activities. California law may also provide additional protections concerning sensitive personal information. MoSciFIT will provide rights and disclosures required by applicable California law.
If Washington's consumer health data laws apply to MoSciFIT's processing of your information, MoSciFIT will provide the disclosures and rights required by those laws. Washington's My Health My Data Act requires covered entities to maintain a consumer health data privacy policy identifying categories of consumer health data collected, purposes, sources, categories of shared data, relevant third parties, and mechanisms for exercising applicable rights. MoSciFIT will not sell consumer health data unless it has obtained any legally required authorization.
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is not a single universally accepted technical standard governing all such signals, MoSciFIT may not respond to every browser based Do Not Track signal unless required by applicable law. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally recognized opt out preference signal, we will implement the required mechanism.
MoSciFIT may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, analytics technologies, or similar technologies to: maintain sessions; authenticate users; remember preferences; secure the Service; measure performance; understand feature usage; troubleshoot problems; and improve the Service. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate choices concerning non-essential technologies.
MoSciFIT and its service providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions where our providers operate. Privacy laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for international data transfers, we will implement legally required measures.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You should not provide MoSciFIT with information that you do not have the right to provide. You should also consider carefully whether information is necessary before entering highly sensitive information into free text fields, Community posts, messages, photographs, or videos.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, email, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will identify the date on which it became effective. Where applicable law requires consent to a new processing activity, we will obtain the required consent before conducting that activity.
