MoSciFIT: Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information MoSciFIT ("the App," "we," "us") collects, how it's used, and your rights regarding it.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email, username, password (securely hashed), date of birth.
• Health and fitness information: goals, injury/limitation history, training experience, equipment access, training style preferences, height, weight, sex at birth, activity level, job type, step counts.
• Sensitive health information: menstrual cycle data (if you opt in), medications, supplements, prior surgeries, family health history, and manually entered blood work values.
• Logged activity data: workout logs (weights, reps, sets, RPE), nutrition/food logs, form-check videos and analysis results you choose to save.
• Payment information: subscription status and billing details are processed by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your full card details ourselves.
• Usage data: general technical information such as device type and app usage, used to maintain and improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: generate personalized workout, nutrition, and health guidance content via AI; track your logged activity and progress over time; enable optional social features you choose to use; process subscription payments; send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset, guardian consent notifications, feedback responses); and maintain and improve the App.

4. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the App, including:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Anthropic — AI processing to generate plans and guidance based on your inputs
• Vercel — application hosting
• Stripe — payment processing (if you subscribe)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts — public nutrition databases used for food search (no personal data is sent to these sources beyond your search query)

These providers are contractually and/or by their own policies restricted from using your data for purposes beyond providing their service to us.

5. Minors' Information

For users under 18, we collect a parent or guardian's contact information solely to obtain and manage consent. A parent or guardian may review, request deletion of, or revoke consent for their child's account at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Saved form-check videos are limited to 5 at a time, managed by you; deleted data (workouts, logs, or your account itself) is removed and is not recoverable, as reflected in the App's own confirmation prompts.

7. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete most of your information directly within the App. You may delete your account entirely at any time through account settings, which permanently removes your associated data. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the right to request a copy of your data); contact us to make such a request.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices (including encrypted storage and access controls) to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Health Data Notice

Some information collected by MoSciFIT (such as blood work, medications, and cycle tracking) is health-related. We do not sell this information. It is used solely to generate personalized guidance for you and is handled with the access controls described above. This App is not operated by a covered healthcare entity, and standard healthcare privacy regulations (such as HIPAA) may not apply in the way they would to a doctor's office — we are nonetheless committed to protecting this information responsibly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date.
